BBNaija Reunion: My family Opposed My Relationship with Sheggz – Bella

A former housemate in the popular reality TV show Big Brother Naija, Bella Okagbue, has disclosed the reasons behind her defiance of her family’s objections towards her romantic involvement with her partner, Sheggz.

Bella made this revelation during the reunion program held on the evening of Wednesday, June 28.

In her account, she expressed that she faced disapproval regarding her relationship while inside the Big Brother house and received counsel to prioritize her business.

Nevertheless, she firmly asserted that she remains committed to her bond with Sheggz, emphasizing that it was her own choice to pursue this path.

According to her statement, Bella expressed, “Considering the background I come from, actions such as kissing, which I engaged in during the show, are strictly prohibited. I am expected to embody the qualities of a well-mannered young lady.

“Upon exiting the house, I was explicitly advised to prioritize the development of my brand. I had doubts about Sheggz’s feelings towards me as I remained unaware of the reasons behind my family’s disapproval.”

During that time, I had unwavering certainty about the connection we had established. I was fully aware of my emotions toward him, and he reciprocated with equal clarity.

Following the initial round of interviews, I made a deliberate choice to maintain the status quo. Upon exiting the house, my family criticized me, claiming that I had disregarded my upbringing by prioritizing romantic involvement and engaging in intimate acts inside the BBNaija house.

My family is an integral part of my life, and I firmly believe that they will never abandon me. After a brief period, they eventually came around, and harmony was restored.

I received counsel advising me against pursuing the relationship due to external factors and public opinions. However, ultimately, the decision rested with me, and I chose to remain committed to our relationship. As a result, we continue to have a thriving relationship to this day.
