The All Progressives Congress (APC) has formally endorsed Vice President Kashim Shettima as the running mate to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election, putting to rest weeks of speculation over the party’s vice-presidential ticket.
The announcement was made on Friday during a high-level meeting of the party’s leadership, attended by members of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) and the National Working Committee (NWC).
The gathering was led by the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, while the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, presided over the meeting alongside members of the National Working Committee.

The formal endorsement confirms that President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima will once again fly the APC’s presidential ticket in the 2027 general election.
