Following rumours of a potential Napoli job, ex-Tottenham coach Antonio Conte has said he is taking a break to spend time with his family.

Conte revealed this to Sky Sport Italia on Tuesday night, during Juventus 100 years celebration of Agnelli’s ownership in Turin.

When asked about the possibility of taking over as the coach of Napoli to replace Rudi Garcia, he remained tight-lipped, reemphasizing his focus on family time and the need to respect the club’s decision.

“For now, I enjoy the family. I made a precise choice when I decided to stop with Tottenham,”

“I want to rest and enjoy my family, then you know very well that many things can happen on this path. Now I want to enjoy this atmosphere and what we have around,” Conte added.

He continued: “It takes great respect and education. Again, we just want to enjoy tonight, we are happy.”

Conte has had a successful coaching career, having won multiple Serie A titles with Juventus and Inter, as well as the Premier League with Chelsea in the 2016/2017 season.

However, after leaving Inter in May 2021, he joined Tottenham, but his tenure with the English club ended earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Rudi Garcia’s Napoli on the other hand, has been struggling in the Serie A, and reports suggest that the club has made contacts with Conte and a number of other managers like Graham Potter, about the coaching position.

It’s also worth mentioning that Napoli is considering Igor Tudor, a former assistant to Andrea Pirlo at Juventus, as a potential replacement for Garcia.
