According to Mary, the man initially contacted her, explaining that he desperately needed a job to provide for his wife and children.

She claimed he repeatedly told her that he neither knew how to drive a car nor ride a motorcycle, making it difficult for him to find employment.

Mary said he continued pleading with her for several days until she eventually decided to offer him a job.
The farmer explained that after considering his situation, she offered him employment on her farm, adding that the job also came with free accommodation.

To help him resume work, she said she transferred ₦5,000 to cover his transportation expenses.

According to her, the man thanked her after receiving the money and was expected to resume work the following day.

Mary alleged that instead of reporting for work, the man blocked her on all communication channels shortly after receiving the money.

She further claimed that he deleted his National Identification Number (NIN), which he had previously shared during their conversation.
