Nigerian music sensation David Adeleke, commonly known as Davido, has stated that he began singing as a youngster.

Omo Baba Olowo recently gave an interview on The Bridge Show, in which he gently boasted about producing his first significant hit single at the age of 17.

He was responding to Real Madrid midfielder, Aurelien Tchouameni, who said started listening to Davido when he was 10 years old because the Omo Baba Olowo is his favourite African artiste.

The 24-year-old footballer said; “When I was 10 years old, I used to listen to Davido. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying he is very old. His first song that I listened to was ‘Back When.’”

In response, Davido said; “I started young though. I was very young when I released some of my hit songs. I am 31 now. I was 17 when I released ‘Back When.’”
