Hungary’s Orbán: ‘It is high time that the swamp was drained here in Brussels’

Corrupt globalists have escaped consequences for far too long, to the point where it is now expected that there will be no consequences for their deeds. But now the chickens could coming home to roost. It is highly significant that “the left-wing vice-president of the European Parliament was arrested over corruption charges.”

Euronews reported on December 9:

Four people have been charged in connection with an anti-corruption investigation into the European Parliament that has sent shockwaves through Brussels.

European Parliament Vice-President Eva Kaili and three others were charged and imprisoned on Sunday in Belgium, amid a police probe into alleged corruption linked with Qatar.

Six people have been arrested since Friday in Brussels after investigators made multiple raids based on suspicions of “substantial” money payments by the Gulf state to influence MEPs.

Kaili — a Greek Socialist MEP and one of 14 vice presidents at the European legislative body — was charged with “corruption”. She has been suspended from her party and sanctioned, being withdrawn from duties, such as representing the head of the parliament in the Middle East.

Viktor Orbán himself has long been a target of the EU, which has accused Hungary of no longer being considered a democracy, an accusation that the Eurocrats particularly emphasized when Orbán refused to fling open Hungary’s borders to unvetted mass migration.

Orbán has stood against the EU in victory and now wants to see the swamp drained in Brussels, a sentiment shared by all supporters of free societies against corrupt globalists throughout the West.

“PM Orbán wants to drain the swamp in Brussels,” Daily News Hungary, December 16, 2022:

“It is high time that the swamp was drained here in Brussels,” Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said in a video message on Facebook on Thursday.

The fact that “the left-wing vice-president of the European Parliament was arrested over corruption charges” has left its mark on the Brussels summit of the European Union, he said.

Everyone knew that Brussels was full of corruption cases but now the matter “had reached such a level” that even the police had to take action, Orbán said. The corruption scandal has shaken the European institutions, house searches are being held, police are confiscating millions of euros, and everyone is speculating which other Brussels politicians could be involved, he said.

Many believe that the links could go up to the highest echelons, Orbán said. ……
