A recent story out of New Jersey demonstrates what is wrong with coverage of CAIR on TV.
Groups including the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) claimed that the inclusion of a bulldozer in the Aug. 14 India Day Parade was a ”symbolic attack on Muslims,” “a clear message of intimidation,” and “bulldozer justice.”
The man in charge of putting on the parade, Chandrakant Patel, Chairman of the Indian Business Association (IBA), initially said he was not sorry and had “done nothing wrong.” But what a difference a week made. Now, just six days later, Patel’s IBA group has issued an apology. The written apology does not explain what caused Chandrakant Petel’s change of heart. It could be information he was not aware of, or it could be intimidation from city officials.
According to the complaints, “bulldozer justice” refers to the arbitrary demolition of Muslim-owned homes. However, the demolition is actually not arbitrary, but is carried out at the homes of those who are committing and inciting violence. If one looks at the high-profile case of Javed Mohammad, the Indian government demolished his home after he led violent protests in reaction to the Nupur Sharma affair.
Jihad Watch has discussed extensively (and almost exclusively) the fact that during a televised debate, Nupur Sharma referenced Muhammad’s child bride, Aisha.
What Nupur Sharma said was accurate. Hadiths that Muslims consider authentic record that Muhammad’s favorite wife, Aisha, was six when Muhammad wedded her and nine when he consummated the marriage:
“The Prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with Aisha while she was six years old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death)” (Bukhari 7.62.88).
Good luck finding a quote of what Nupur actually said. The international news media will not touch this. Because if they do, Muslims will get angry. And when Muslims get angry, people often die.
The violent reaction to the truth that Nupur Sharma enunciated about Muhammad was typically savage. Here is just one example of the gratuitous violence, which rioters meant as “a clear message of intimidation.”
One would hope there were another way of handling this without summary justice. But whatever that way is, it must include a clear-eyed resolve not to accept homicidal conniption fits when the truth about Muhammad is publicly discussed.
Edison’s India Day Parade is the 4th attack by CAIR on TV this month, and the 24th of the year.
CAIR has injected itself into this story, saying:
“ . . . the parade should celebrate India’s independence and rich culture and diversity.”
This is typical of CAIR telling other people how to run their lives. Take, for example, 9/11, which is CAIR’s property now, in case you didn’t know.
TV stations will not touch any discussion of violent Muslims. Particularly if it concerns criticism of Islam or Muhammad. And so discussing the background of this “bulldozer justice” to the TV station that reported on it will cause them to hang up on you.

The Indian Business Association has issued an apology for using an item in a recent parade that some said was Islamophobic….
The Indian Business Association organized the parade. The organization issued an apology in a letter to the mayors of Edison and Woodbridge.
The letter read in part, “Our parade should never be about politics and should never include blatant divisive symbols. Our parade should recognize us as South Asians living in two of the best towns in the state of New Jersey.”
The New Jersey chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations acknowledged the apology. They say the parade should celebrate India’s independence and rich culture and diversity.
