The subtext is that the federal government needs massive new powers and much higher taxes, plus the end of the use of fossil fuels, in order to solve the climate “crisis” and prevent the arrival of these 100 million “climate refugees.” The statism may come, and the 100 million refugees won’t, and the Leftist authoritarians will declare that they staved off catastrophe.
