Instead of applying for a new visa for each trip, eligible travelers can use a multiple-entry visa to make repeated visits within its validity period, as long as they comply with the visa’s restrictions.

However, getting a five-year visa is not certain. Approval is contingent on the destination country, the applicant’s circumstances, travel history, funds, and purpose of travel.
Here are five places where eligible Nigerian travelers can get five-year multiple-entry visas.
1. India
India is another country where qualified Nigerian travelers can obtain long-term multiple-entry visas for permitted purposes such as tourism and business.
Nigerians can now visit these five countries with multiple-entry visas. A five-year visa can assist Nigerians who travel to India regularly for business, family, or other valid reasons.
Applicants must still meet the necessary visa criteria, and acceptance is subject to an examination by Indian immigration authorities.
2. United Arab Emirates
Subject to approval, qualifying candidates, regardless of nationality, can also get a five-year multiple-entry tourist visa in the UAE.
The visa allows for repeated entries over five years, with stays of up to 90 days per visit. Extensions may be available; however, the total time spent in the UAE is subject to annual limits.

The visa allows holders to enter and exit the UAE as many times as they like within 60 days of the date of issue, with no limit to the number of entries.
However, the overall duration of stay cannot exceed 60 days across all visits combined.
3. Schengen
Nigerians with a good travel history may qualify for a five-year multiple-entry Schengen visa.
Multiple-entry Schengen visas can be awarded for up to five years under the EU Visa Code, with travelers who have previously received and lawfully used shorter-term visas being eligible for increasingly longer validity terms.
A five-year Schengen visa, on the other hand, does not allow for five years of residence in Europe.
4. South Africa
South Africa grants qualifying Nigerian businesspeople five-year multiple-entry visas.
The country has implemented measures to make business travel easier for qualified Nigerian businesspeople, such as the availability of five-year multiple-entry visas.
The option is especially beneficial for Nigerians who frequently travel to South Africa for meetings, investments, business, and other professional purposes.
5. United Kingdom
The United Kingdom provides long-term Standard Visitor visas valid for two, five, or ten years.
A five-year UK visitor visa allows for repeated visits over its validity term, with tourists often able to stay for up to six months every visit.
Applicants must meet the UK’s visiting standards and establish that they are real tourists with the necessary cash to support their visits.
The visa is especially beneficial for Nigerians who frequently travel to the United Kingdom for vacation, family visits, business-related activities, and other permissible reasons.
