The Tinubu Must Stay (TMS) movement has called on Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term, citing ongoing infrastructure projects, agricultural interventions, and efforts to address national challenges.
Speaking in Jigawa State, the Convener, Engr. Ibrahim Said Uba, said the group was fully prepared to explain why it believes President Tinubu deserves another opportunity to continue his programmes beyond 2027.
Uba said the government had demonstrated commitment to major capital projects, including the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway, national railway expansions, and the Kano–Jigawa–Katsina–Maradi railway, with substantial progress on the Kano–Jigawa section.
He referenced economic challenges experienced in previous years, including rising food prices, saying the Tinubu administration had introduced agricultural support programmes, such as fertilizer distribution and farm‑input interventions, to boost production and improve food security.

According to him, journalists travelling along the Kano–Gaya axis have observed ongoing infrastructure and railway construction, adding that various projects in progress are evidence of the administration’s dedication to its Renewed Hope infrastructure agenda.
Acknowledging Nigeria still faces security and economic challenges, Uba argued that the current leadership had shown its zeal to address them. He said opposition parties were expected to use national difficulties as campaign points and advised Nigerians to scrutinise proposals carefully.
The TMS convener referenced recent comments by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on reinstating fuel subsidy, asking Nigerians to demand clarity on funding and long‑term economic implications before accepting such proposals.
He praised cooperation among APC governors, described as “important for national development,” and urged citizens—particularly in the North—to consider Nigeria’s political history, recalling former President Muhammadu Buhari received support from the South and completed his eight‑year tenure.
Uba criticised the “Tinubu Must Go” slogan, saying political discussions should be based on facts, development, and national interest rather than sentiment. The TMS movement, initiated long before the current political debates, insists President Tinubu should be allowed to continue his programmes.
“Our message is simple: we believe President Bola Ahmed Tinubu deserves the opportunity to continue with the programmes and projects of his administration,” Uba said, encouraging Nigerians to examine available records, projects, and policies, and engage constructively ahead of the 2027 elections.
