Special Adviser to Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal on Political Affairs, Nura Abdullahi Tsafe, has said the governor’s performance will give him an advantage in the 2027 governorship election.
Tsafe also called on critics of the administration to support what he described as the governor’s transformation agenda.
The special adviser spoke when members of the Jagaban Support Group for Gamjin Gusau, led by its Chairman, Mohammed Adamu, paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

Tsafe said the administration had recorded achievements in infrastructure, education, social development and the economy, which he claimed would strengthen Lawal’s bid for a second term.
He said, “His Excellency Governor Dauda Lawal has displayed the highest transformation scorecard in the history of the state, changing the entire Zamfara to a promised land.
“It is indisputable that Governor Lawal has made history through his clear and undoubted transformation agenda. His rescue mission is real.”
According to him, the governor’s achievements have positioned Zamfara to compete with other states in terms of infrastructural, social, economic and educational development.
He expressed confidence that the governor’s record would earn him a second term in office, adding that opposition parties would face a difficult task in matching the administration’s performance.
“I assure you his scorecard will surely earn him a second mandate from the electorate. Critics should embrace his rescue mission. As for now, no opposition political party can match him,” he said.
Earlier, Adamu, who led the executive members of the support group on the visit, pledged the group’s support for Lawal’s re-election bid.
He said the group was making preparations for community sensitisation, house-to-house mobilisation and public awareness campaigns ahead of the 2027 election.
Adamu also said the group would encourage residents to pray for peace in the state and support Lawal’s bid for a second term.
