New beneficiaries selected for the Federal Government’s National Emergency Relief and Stabilisation Intervention (NERSI) through MoMo can now follow the provider’s instructions to accept their ₦50,000 support.
MoMo Payment Service Bank (PSB), operated by MTN, has shared steps for recipients who received an official selection SMS. The process begins with giving consent through a USSD code. Beneficiaries must also open a MoMo account before accessing funds credited to their wallets.
The provider says the relief is free. Recipients should not pay anyone, click links claiming to activate payment, or disclose their personal identification number (PIN), one-time password (OTP) or Bank Verification Number (BVN). Only selected beneficiaries qualify.
How to accept payment
If you received an official confirmation SMS, dial *671*0# to give consent. To open a MoMo account, download the app or dial *671# and follow the instructions. Once credited, access the ₦50,000 through your MoMo account. For enquiries, call 0700-022-2222 for further assistance.
