It was reported that Chelsea began using sunbeds when she was just 15 years old. She later revealed that she and her friends used to compete over who had the best tan during their teenage years.

Despite being under 18 at the time, Chelsea said she was never asked for identification before using sunbeds.
After her diagnosis, she became an advocate for stricter rules around sunbed use and campaigned for mandatory ID checks to prevent young people from accessing them.
Chelsea had used sunbeds regularly for about a decade before she was diagnosed with stage 3C melanoma.

By the time the cancer was discovered, it had spread to several parts of her body, including her spine, ribs, pelvis, femurs, lungs, liver, spleen and breast.
During her battle with the illness, Chelsea underwent several treatments while also raising awareness about the dangers associated with excessive sunbed use.
She successfully raised more than £4,000 for charity while continuing her campaign for stronger protection measures.
