Us-Israel Vs Iran: NATO Destroys Fourth Iranian Missile Heading For Turkey

The North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) has destroyed a ballistic missile launched from Iran that entered Turkish airspace on Monday, marking the fourth time a suspected Iranian missile targeting Turkey has been stopped.

NATO’s air and missile defence system deployed in the Eastern Mediterranean destroyed the weapon. Turkish authorities confirmed the missile originated from Iran before entering the country’s airspace.

“A ballistic munition, determined to have been launched from Iran and to have entered into Turkish airspace, has been neutralised by NATO air and missile defence assets deployed in the Eastern Mediterranean,” Turkey’s Defence Ministry stated on Monday.

Naijaonpoint Nigeria gathered that authorities pledged unwavering protection of Turkish airspace and territory.

This marks the fourth time NATO defence systems have stopped Iranian ballistic weapons heading toward Turkey since the conflict began. Turkish officials have now vowed to take decisive action to protect the country’s territory.

“All necessary measures are being taken decisively and without hesitation against any threat directed at our country’s territory and airspace,” the ministry added.

NATO Spokesperson Allison Hart confirmed that the alliance successfully intercepted the Iranian ballistic missile and pledged to continue defending member states.

Iran, on the other hand, has repeatedly denied launching missiles toward Turkey. Iranian officials reject accusations of targeting Turkish territory despite four reported NATO interceptions.

The interception demonstrates NATO’s active role in protecting member state Turkey from Iranian missile attacks as the conflict between Iran and the United States-Israeli joint campaign continues.
