UBA business series to celebrate modern African women redefining leadership

United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc is set to host a special edition of its quarterly UBA Business Series focused on celebrating and empowering the modern woman under the theme “Gen W – The Evolved Woman.”

The event, scheduled for Wednesday, March 12, 2026, will take place at UBA House in Lagos, will convene accomplished female leaders and professionals to share insights, experiences, and practical strategies for navigating ambition, leadership, and growth in today’s dynamic environment.

Participants will also be able to join virtually, as the session will be streamed live across UBA’s digital platforms. Interested participants can register to attend either in person or online through the bank’s registration portal.

According to the bank, the special edition aims to push conversations around women’s empowerment forward by spotlighting a new generation of women who are not merely seeking opportunities but actively creating them. The dialogue will explore how women are shaping industries, leading businesses, and redefining success on their own terms.

The event will feature a lineup of speakers including entrepreneur and founder of ORÍKÌ Group, Joycee Awosika; media personality and entrepreneur Tomike Adeoye; entrepreneur and founder of Fine Funky, Olufunke Davies; and award-winning broadcaster Ayo Mario‑Ese. The conversation will be hosted by media personality and actor Tobi Bakre.

Panelists are expected to share their personal journeys and perspectives on navigating professional spaces, building resilient businesses, embracing authenticity, and redefining leadership as women in a rapidly evolving global landscape.

Speaking ahead of the event, Alero Ladipo, group head marketing and communication,said the special edition of the Business Series reflects the bank’s commitment to supporting women and recognising their critical role in driving economic growth and innovation across Africa.

The quarterly UBA Business Series has grown into a major knowledge-sharing platform designed to equip entrepreneurs, professionals, and business leaders with insights, tools, and strategies to build sustainable enterprises and navigate the evolving business landscape.
