This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Olaniyi Osoba.
According to the statement, the operations are aimed at protecting communities and degrading terrorist capabilities across the North-West.

It added that troops recovered three AK-47 rifles and motorcycles during the encounter.
In Zamfara State, troops reportedly carried out a successful ambush along the Gada Maya–Makakari road, neutralising two terrorists and recovering arms and communication equipment.
