Not everyone is applauding Travis Barker‘s ex’s move to publish a memoir.
Shanna Moakler took to social media, telling fans to anticipate her upcoming memoir titled “Blink Of An Eye,” seemingly a play on words in reference to her ex’s band Blink-182. The book promised to cover a wide range of topics, from the model’s past to her journey into motherhood.
Shanna Moakler and Travis Barker were married from 2004 to 2008 and share two kids, Alabama and Landon. The pageant queen has recently made headlines for taking jabs at her ex’s current wife, Kourtney Kardashian.
Moakler announced in a social media post that her “Blink Of An Eye” memoir is already in the works and will soon hit the shelves. She shared that she hopes her “reality, reinvention, and surviving some rough waters” can inspire and encourage readers.
The former Miss USA added that her book will detail her journey from childhood to motherhood, including the lessons she learned as she navigated through the different phases of life. She also intends to cover what lies behind the curtains of co-parenting children in the current “celeb-obsessed climate.”
In addition, Moakler noted that her book will not only focus on one person or a single chapter of life but also on the connection between women, mothers, and daughters. “Blink Of An Eye” will shed light on how women support each other through the highs and lows.
“I’m excited. I’m working hard. But mostly, I’m ready to share my story,” the actress wrote in her announcement post, which had what appears to be the cover page of the upcoming memoir.

Moakler’s Instagram post has received over two thousand reactions and hundreds of comments. Many fans clocked the reference to her ex’s band, calling her out on it in the comments. “Or in a Blink 182 [thinking face emoji]” one user noted.
“Blink, really? [laughing emojis] girl move on lol,” a different fan wrote in a comment that has received nearly 50 likes. In response to the comment, Moakler wrote, “Why are you here?” This sparked a conversation among other fans, who threw shade at the initial comment and labeled her a Kardashian “stalker.”
Another commenter questioned the timing for Moakler’s book writing: “Why write a book? The past is over. Leave it there. Enjoy the now [red heart emoji]. On the flip side, several other fans were thrilled with the actress’s announcement.
Many noted that they couldn’t wait for the book to be published, while others already started asking if it was available for purchase or in audio form.

4Moakler took a jab at Kardashian in a now-deleted TikTok comment made under a video featuring her kids, Barker, and the reality TV star at the premiere of Barker’s documentary, “Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear.”
Four simple words set the drama scene rolling: “Where are her children?” Moakler wrote as Kardashian was seen without any of her kids, Mason, Penelope, Reign, whom she shares with ex Scott Disick, and Rocky, who is Barker’s youngest kid with the TV star.
The Daily Mail caught up with the pageant queen last weekend to address the feud. She explained that there was nothing more to say at the time, highlighting the fact that she posts and deletes things on social media all the time.
However, the mom of three noted that she will have more to share about her feud with “The Kardashians” star via her upcoming memoir “Queen Risen.”
“In due time, I’ll be sharing my story in my own words through my book, and I’m looking forward to that.” Moakler previously announced that her memoir was finished in February.

She told Cartwright that they had never discussed co-parenting the kids and disclosed that the reality star’s actions were sometimes disrespectful. “I feel like there were some lines that were crossed,” Moakler said, but did not shed light on what exactly the crossed lines were.
Moakler’s statement came months after the “KUWTK” star gushed publicly about her relationship with her stepchildren as a blended family. The Blast reported that Kardashian said she maintains a close relationship with Barker’s kids and tries to be supportive without overstepping her boundaries.

4Back in 2024, The Blast detailed how the actress reportedly found damaging emails her ex sent to media outlets to paint her in a negative light. She shared that she found the messages on Barker’s computer shortly after his near-fatal plane crash in 2008.
Moakler recalled that she stumbled upon the emails while trying to use his computer to set up FaceTime for the children to communicate with him. She also saw emails from other women the drummer was allegedly having intimate relations with at the time.
The pageant queen noted that the emails from other women did not hurt her as much as the comments she discovered he sent to TMZ about her. Barker had reportedly written that his ex was a “sh-t mother,” amongst other things she found “f-cking horrifying.”
Moakler shared that she was in utter shock and disbelief at the sight of the emails and comments. Realizing Barker’s betrayal brought her to tears, which ultimately led to their separation.
