Transfer: Romano names more deals Chelsea will complete this August

Football transfer specialist, Fabrizio Romano, has shared insights regarding the future of Chelsea centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo and two other top players at the club.

Tosin joined Chelsea on a free transfer from Fulham in the summer of 2024; however, he has faced challenges in becoming a regular starter at Stamford Bridge, despite demonstrating glimpses of his talent.

The 28-year-old, who is reportedly under the watchful eye of Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has encountered limited opportunities to play.

Since his arrival at Chelsea, he has participated in 70 matches across all competitions, netting seven goals and contributing one assist.

His restricted playing time has led to uncertainty regarding his future, with rumours suggesting a potential transfer to Chelsea’s sister club, Strasbourg, in Ligue 1, as he seeks more consistent first-team action.

In a recent update on his YouTube channel, Romano indicated that Chelsea is anticipated to have a busy August as the club prepares to finalise several outgoing transfers.

“For Chelsea, it is going to be a busy August,” Romano remarked. “Yes, they mentioned Welbeck, Henderson, and others, but now Chelsea is set to finalise some departures.”

He further noted that Tosin is expected to leave Stamford Bridge during the summer transfer window.

“Trevoh Chalobah is moving to Como for 30 million euros plus six in add-ons and a sell-on clause. (Benoît) Badiashile is departing, and I believe Tosin Adarabioyo will also be leaving,” he stated.

Tosin, who is also eligible to play for the Super Eagles, will be aiming to secure a transfer away from Stamford Bridge in hopes of revitalising his career with more regular playing time.
