The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman has dismissed claims linking President Bola Tinubu’s use of the infinity symbol to occultism, insisting that the symbol represents freedom, continuity, and resilience. He described the allegations as baseless and politically motivated.
Speaking on the controversy, the APC chairman said the infinity symbol has universal meanings associated with hope, progress, and limitless possibilities, noting that it has been widely used in art, culture, and global symbolism without any religious or occult connotation.
He explained that President Tinubu’s adoption of the symbol reflects his long-standing political philosophy centered on democracy, liberty, and enduring reforms, rather than any hidden or mystical agenda.
The party leader accused critics of deliberately misinterpreting the symbol to mislead the public and distract from national issues, urging Nigerians to focus on governance, economic reforms, and policy outcomes instead of symbolism-based speculation.
He reaffirmed the APC’s support for President Tinubu, stressing that the administration remains committed to strengthening democratic institutions, protecting citizens’ freedoms, and delivering on its mandate to Nigerians.
