Nuhu Ribadu, the national security adviser alongside top political figures, attended the Janazah (funeral prayer) of the late Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, mother of former Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, at the national mosque Abuja.
Also present at the solemn ceremony were Atiku Abubakar, former vice-president, Aliko Dangote, President of the Dangote Group, and Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party.
Other dignitaries included Rotimi Anarchist, former Minister of Transportation and Isa Pantanmi, former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy.
Also in attendance were governors Babagana Zulum of Borno, Uba Sani of Kaduna, Umar Bago of Niger, Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa, and Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto.
Umma’s remains were later interred at Gudu Cemetery in Apo following the completion of the janazah prayer.
