The FCT Police Command has announced that the written examination for applicants in the ongoing Police Constable Recruitment exercise will hold from April 28 to April 30, 2026.
In a statement signed by SP Josephine Adeh, the Command said the examination is scheduled to commence at 7:00 a.m. daily at designated centres nationwide, with the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA) Secondary School, Abuja, serving as the venue for candidates in the Federal Capital Territory.
According to the statement, the exercise is being conducted by the Police Service Commission in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force.
“Only candidates who successfully passed the earlier physical and credentials screening are eligible to participate in the examination,” the statement said.
The Command advised qualified applicants to visit the official recruitment portal from April 24, 2026, to print their Examination Invitation Card, which contains details of their specific date, time and venue.
Candidates were urged to report promptly at their designated centres as indicated in their invitation slips.
The statement further outlined that applicants must appear with a writing pen, their National Identification Number (NIN) slip issued by the National Identity Management Commission bearing a clear photograph, and their printed Examination Invitation Card.
It added that the approved dress code for the exercise is strictly white T-shirt, white shorts, white canvas shoes and white socks.
The Command reiterated that the recruitment process is entirely free of charge, warning applicants to be wary of fraudsters and job racketeers.
“Any individual found engaging in such activities will be arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law,” the statement added, urging candidates to remain law-abiding and adhere strictly to all directives throughout the exercise.
