PFIPC: Similar office existed under Buhari’s administration —Arewa Forum alleges

The Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF, has alleged that fake government agencies also existed under late former president Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, noting that people in government have knowledge of manipulating the Nigerian system.

The allegations follow the controversy surrounding the recently exposed Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, PFIPC, headed by now absconded Adeniyi Adeyemi, which the presidency denied knowlegde of af described as fake.

Prof Tukur Baba, the National Publicity Secretary of the ACF made the claims on Saturday during an interview on Arise Television’s ‘Morning Show’.

Recall that Adeyemi alleged that Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, received N400 million through a proxy and demanded an additional N200 million to secure his appointment.

The presidency, however, refuted the allegation, saying that Gbajabiamila cannot write letters or give appointments.

Reacting, the ACF’s spokesman said, “One question I keep asking is, was there a budget defence? If yes how come nobody realised that we are dealing with something fundamentally wrong?

“I read a similar office existed under the previous administration, only to be repackaged by adding Presidential to it

“This could only have happened because people in government have deep knowledge of the system and could manipulate the creation of this office which is frightening.”
