Peter Obi: We’re praying – Kwankwaso hints on contesting 2031 presidency

The Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, presidential running mate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has opened up about the possibility of running for the Presidency in 2031, stressing that he prays to see that year first.

While waiting for 2031, Kwankwaso disclosed that he and the NDC’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi have both short and medium-term plans for Nigeria which they are currently working on.

He disclosed this while appearing on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday while responding to a question about whether he plans to contest the 2031 presidential election.

According to Kwankwaso: “We are praying that all of us should see 2027 and, of course, 2031. We will look at the circumstances and see what can be done, but by the grace of God, I believe our party (NDC), and of course my humble self and His Excellency Peter Obi, have a short-term plan which we are executing now. Of course, we also have our medium and long-term plans for the country. That is what we are working on now.”
