Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Pantami, has mourned the death of the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Sharia in Nigeria, SCSN, Mallam Nafiu Baba-Ahmed.
Pantami announced the death on Tuesday, saying: “Inna lil Laahi wa inna ilaiHi Raaji’un. With heavy hearts but with total submission to the will of Allah, we mourn the passing of Mallam Nafiu Baba-Ahmed, Esq.”
He said the late SCSN scribe dedicated the last 26 years of his life to the service of Islam and humanity, advocating for justice for all.
“The eyes shed tears and the heart is saddened, but we say nothing except that which pleases our Lord. Indeed, O Mallam Nafiu, we are bereaved by your departure,” Pantami added.
He announced that the funeral prayer will hold at the National Mosque, Abuja, immediately after Zuhr prayer on Tuesday.
Pantami prayed Allah to admit him into Jannatul Firdaus.
