Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Oyo State Command, has commissioned and distributed 15 motorcycles to selected personnel to improve mobility, welfare, and productivity.
According to a statement by the Public Relations Officer, SC Samuel Opebiyi, the motorcycles, provided through the NSCDC Ibadan Staff Cooperative Society, were formally presented to beneficiaries on Monday at the Command Headquarters, Agodi, Ibadan.
Commissioning the motorcycles, the State Commandant, Commandant Augustine Padonu, commended the Commandant General, NSCDC, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, and the cooperative society for supporting initiatives aimed at improving personnel welfare.

Padonu urged the beneficiaries to maintain the motorcycles properly and use them responsibly, stressing that improved welfare should translate into greater commitment, discipline and effective service delivery.
Chairman of the cooperative society, CSC Victor Adegunlola, said the initiative was introduced to address transportation and mobility challenges faced by personnel and pledged that the society would continue to pursue programmes that promote members’ welfare and economic empowerment.
The Command said the initiative would enhance operational mobility while strengthening the capacity of personnel to effectively carry out their statutory responsibilities across Oyo.
