Oriire: LAUTECH Teaching Hospital discharges rescued victims

… retains pupil with heart condition

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, has discharged all the remaining rescued abductees on its admission list except one pupil diagnosed with congenital heart disease.

A hospital source disclosed to our correspondent that the remaining rescued abductees were discharged and handed over to their parents on Thursday.

He added that 44 abductees were admitted for further treatment after their official handover to Governor Seyi Makinde by the military authorities on Monday.

The source said the discharges had been carried out gradually based on medical certification of fitness.

According to him, “As of this morning (Thursday), eight pupils and one teacher were on admission at the hospital.

“However, they have all been discharged except the pupil with congenital heart disease.

“Also, the two pupils who were brought back to the hospital after being discharged earlier were attended to.

“As of now, there is only one patient on the admission list.”
