A Nigerian beneficiary has shared evidence of receiving the Federal Government’s ₦50,000 relief payment through OPay under the National Emergency Relief and Stabilisation Intervention (NERSI).
The screenshot shows an incoming transfer notification stating that NERSI sent ₦50,000. The transaction record also displays “FGN NERSI Relief” with a credit of ₦50,000, indicating successful receipt.
The credit is a sign that OPay payments are underway. This provides evidence that OPay disbursement has reached at least one beneficiary. However, it does not mean every OPay customer qualifies or that all beneficiaries have been paid.
The NERSI support is intended for selected eligible Nigerians. Beneficiaries receive instructions through their payment providers, and no fee is required.
How to check and accept
Selected OPay users can dial *955*20# or log in to the app and follow the instructions. Check your transaction history for the NERSI credit. Do not pay anyone or share your PIN or one-time password (OTP) to access the support.
