THE Are of Ago-Are, in Atisbo Local Government Area of Oyo State, Oba (Dr) Oyetunji Kofoworola Olakanla, has said that only communal efforts can truly aid in developing a community, just as he called on all sons and daughters of the town to return to support its development.
Oba Olakanla stated this during the official opening of a 75-room hotel established in the community, describing the investment as a welcome development, which will definitely contribute to the growth of Ago-Are.
The monarch said with the facility, more investors will move to Ago Are, describing the community as a fertile ground to site businesses.
He then congratulated the founder of the hospitality facility, Mr Oluwasegun Oyagbola, on the initiative, adding that its success would go a long way in announcing that Ago-Are is a peaceful and fertile community waiting to be tapped by investors.
Oba Olakanla also used the opportunity to call on indigenes of the community, particularly those living in the Diaspora, to return and contribute to the development of their ancestral land.
A director of the facility, Mr Olakunle Kayode, who spoke on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Oyagbola, expressed appreciation to the Are of Ago-Are and members of the community for their support during the planning stage of the project.
He said that with its final completion, the community would be opened up to more people and businesses from across the state and country..
