The Baale Oke-Owu, Kuta, Chief Ajibola Ogunbiyi, has congratulated the Olowu of Kuta, His Royal Majesty Oba Hameed Adekunle Oyelude Tegbosun III, on his elevation to the position of Vice Chairman of the Osun State Council of Obas.
Ogunbiyi, in a congratulatory message, described the elevation as a recognition of the Olowu’s leadership and contributions to traditional institution and community development in Osun State.
The congratulation followed a letter dated October 7, 2026, from the Osun State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Department of Chieftaincy Affairs, conveying the monarch’s promotion to the post of Vice Chairman of the Osun State Council of Obas.
The Baale, who was installed as the first Baale Oke-Owu, Kuta, by the Olowu in 2024, said the new responsibility places another important duty on the monarch to contribute to the unity, peace and development of the traditional institution in the state.
According to Ogunbiyi, “This elevation is not only a moment of pride for Kuta and the Owu people, but also a recognition of Kabiyesi’s commitment to the traditional institution and the development of our communities.”
He added that the new position would provide the Olowu with an even broader platform to contribute his experience and wisdom to issues affecting traditional rulers and their communities across Osun State.
Ogunbiyi prayed for continued wisdom, good health and strength for Oba Oyelude as he assumes the responsibility, while assuring the monarch of his continued loyalty and support.
“Kabiyesi, your elevation is well deserved. On behalf of myself, my family and the people of Oke-Owu, Kuta, I warmly congratulate Your Royal Majesty. May this new chapter bring greater honour to the Kuta Kingdom and the entire Owu people,” he said.
