Nobomi Tshongweni, age 28, and a multifaceted individual acclaimed for her work as a philanthropist, global model, speaker, branding expert, and influential leader, is making noteworthy strides in Nigeria.
As the founder of The Nobomi Foundation, Tshongweni is at the forefront of a compassionate mission to bridge the gap between the underprivileged and supportive businesses and organizations.
“At the heart of our efforts is the initiative we began for The Menzi Children’s Home located in Extension 19, Tsakani. Our Winter Drive, intended to be brief, exceeded expectations, extending over a fruitful four months,” shared Tshongweni.
The foundation has been instrumental in amassing a range of contributions, including food, essential goods, cleaning materials, and recreational items tailored for the children.
Additionally, Nobomi Tshongweni has championed the annual #AsambeSiyofunda school shoe drive, which has successfully garnered sponsorships and donations of footwear and educational materials for the students of Shadrack Primary School – with commendable support from Bathu, the renowned sneaker brand.
Tshongweni’s steadfast dedication to her humanitarian missions over the previous three years sparked her journey to Nigeria.
“Aboard the advisory board of The Jet Age Nation Builders (JANB), situated in Abuja, Nigeria, I was gratefully appointed as both the South African ambassador and the regional coordinator for southern Africa in alignment with Jet Age’s vision across the continent,” she revealed.
JANB, established in 2015, remains zealously committed to promoting the progression, peace, cooperation, partnership, and industrial growth of African nations.
Tshongweni’s engagement at the Niger Delta Innovation Summit as both a speaker and panelist has further cemented her role in fostering discussions on innovation, particularly focusing on the transformative effects within the digital landscape.
Her recent visit to Nigeria positions her at the vanguard of emerging prospects.
