NNPC raises petrol price to N992 per litre in Lagos, N955 in Abuja

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has increased the pump price of petrol to N992 per litre in Lagos and N955 per litre in Abuja.

On Monday, TheCable observed that the new prices had already taken effect across several NNPC retail outlets in both cities.

The latest adjustment represents an increase of N127 in Lagos, up from the previous rate of N865 per litre, and an increase of N65 in Abuja, from N890 per litre.

At the NNPC filling station in Ago Palace, Lagos, petrol was sold at N992 per litre on Monday.

In Abuja, the product retailed for N955 per litre at the NNPC outlet in the Federal Housing Authority, Kubwa, while another station along Komolafe Road, Lugbe, sold the commodity at the same price.

The price hike comes barely two months after a reduction implemented on August 15, when NNPC lowered petrol prices to N865 per litre in Lagos and N890 per litre in Abuja.
