Niger declares 24-hour curfew, suspends mining activities

The Niger State Government has announced the immediate imposition of a 24-hour curfew across the state, effective immediately after today’s Juma’ah prayer.

The government also ordered the suspension of all mining activities in the state until further notice.

The directives are part of measures by the state government to address the prevailing security situation and restore safety across the state.

The government advised residents to remain indoors and comply fully with the curfew and other security directives until further notice.
