The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully conducted another scheduled troop rotation in Operation FANSAN YAMMA, Zamfara State, reaffirming its commitment to sustaining a highly motivated, resilient and mission-ready force.
The exercise forms part of the Service’s deliberate operational policy of periodically rotating personnel deployed across theatres of operation to preserve combat effectiveness, mitigate operational fatigue and ensure the continuous delivery of decisive air and ground support in defence of Nigeria’s territorial integrity.
Under the leadership of the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, troop rotation has become a key enabler of operational success, reflecting the understanding that personnel welfare and mission accomplishment are mutually reinforcing.
As one contingent concludes its operational tour and proceeds on well-deserved rest and reunites with loved ones, another batch of well-trained personnel seamlessly assumes frontline responsibilities with renewed energy, ensuring uninterrupted operational tempo and sustained pressure on criminal elements and other threats to national security.
Coordinated by the Directorate of Regiment under the Operations Branch at Headquarters Nigerian Air Force, the rotation highlights the Service’s unwavering resolve to protect not only the nation but also the men and women entrusted with that responsibility.
By investing in the physical resilience, mental well-being and professional readiness of its personnel, the NAF continues to strengthen its capacity to project decisive air power while building a force that is always prepared, always capable and always ready to respond whenever duty calls.
