The legal and law enforcement community gathered in celebration as Morufu Ajani Animashaun, Esq., Legal Officer, Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Annex, was presented with the Distinguished Legal Service Award/ Recognition Award.
Barrister Animashaun was presented with the prestigious award by Kokoafricatv, in recognition of his exceptional professionalism, integrity, dedication to justice, and outstanding service to the Nigerian Police Force and the administration of law.

Speaking on the award, the awardee, Animashaun thanked the Almighty God for being recognized by the media outfit, saying that the award will spur him to put more efforts in discharge of his duties as legal officer in the Nigeria Police.
Prior to the new award, Animashaun was previously honoured with Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria (CRAN) Excellent Awards in 2018, 2021, Best Prosecutor of the Year 2024 by National Association of Judicial Correspondents (NAJUC); Criminal Prosecutor of the Year (2019); World Organization of Ambassadors by Global Peace Ambassador Award (2021); City Pride Achievers Award Outstanding Legal Icon of the Year (2021).
He also received a Commendation Certificate, presented by AIG Usman Al-Hassan Belel on behalf of IGP Usman Alkali Baba (November 2021); Member Security Agencies Committee (National) 2025; IGP Award of Commendation’ Bestowed on me by the nations IG, on June 5, 2025, RAFA 2026 as Best Prosecuting Police Officer, in March 28, 2026, among others.
