A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after sharing how she discovered that her boyfriend, who allegedly claimed to be single with no kids, was actually married with children.
The video was shared on X by @teeniiola, where the lady narrated how she unexpectedly ran into the man during Eid celebrations in Shomolu, Lagos.
Relationship Reportedly Started Three Months Ago
According to the lady, identified as Aisha, she and the man, identified as Jamil, had been dating for about three months.
She explained that throughout their relationship, he repeatedly denied being married or having children whenever she asked him.
She said:
“Some men know that they will never find heaven. Like whatever they do, I swear to God, no matter what you give to God, no matter how much forgiveness you seek, Jamil, you will never find heaven.”
“So me and Jamil started dating like three months ago. Everything was going fine. He’s a nice guy. He used to spend money on me.”
“And I asked Jamil, are you married? To be sincere. He said he’s not married. Do you have kids? He said no. He’s 35 years old.”
Surprise Encounter During Eid Celebration
The lady explained that she had planned to spend Eid at her mother’s place but later travelled to her aunt’s house in Shomolu because of Ileya preparations.
After Eid prayers, she claimed she unexpectedly spotted Jamil in the area alongside a woman and three children.
She recalled being confused at first because she did not know he lived in Shomolu.
“So, I went for Eid. I didn’t know Jamil is living in Shomolu,” she said.
“As we finished Eid prayers and were going outside, I saw Jamil. I’m like, what is Jamil doing in Shomolu? I saw a woman. I saw three children. They were looking like family.”
Mosque Members Confirmed He Was Married
According to Aisha, she initially hoped she was mistaken and decided to ask an elderly woman nearby about him.
The woman reportedly confirmed that Jamil regularly attended the Central Mosque with his wife and children.
“I don’t want to believe. I thought maybe they just look alike,” she explained.
“I now went to ask one auntie about him. The auntie said he’s a regular at the Central Mosque and that’s his wife and children.”
Boyfriend Introduces Her as Family’s Friend
Aisha said she later approached Jamil, but instead of admitting the truth, he allegedly introduced her to his wife as his mother’s friend’s child.
“I now went to approach Jamil. When he saw me, he started giving me eye signals.”
“He looked at me and said, ‘Hi Aisha, how are you doing?’ and told his wife I’m his mum’s friend’s child.”
“I was shocked. He said, ‘This is my wife.’ He had the audacity to introduce me to his wife.”

Aisha revealed that despite feeling hurt, she decided not to reveal the truth to the wife because of the children involved.
She revealed that seeing the children reminded her of the pain associated with broken homes.
“I looked at his children. Three beautiful children. He has a grown daughter. The daughter is like 11 years old.”
“I wanted to talk to the wife, but because of the fear of God that is in me, I don’t want to spoil his family because of the children.”
“I know how it feels like to be in a broken home. I just kept quiet. Jamil, God will judge you. God will judge you for me.”
