Kelly Osbourne Brutally Roasts Dee Snider’s ‘Last Hit’ Over Late Ozzy’s Criticism

Not on Kelly Osbourne‘s watch will Ozzy Osbourne‘s legacy be maligned!

The media personality took time out to put one of her father’s colleagues, who had the most to say about his songwriting prowess, in his place as she continues to navigate a world without her rockstar dad.

Kelly Osbourne’s dad, Ozzy Osbourne, passed away on July 22, 2025, at his home in Buckinghamshire, England, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease alongside other health complications.

The singer slammed Twisted Sister lead singer Dee Snider for his ill comments about her late father’s talent. Snider had responded to a question on social media during the week, where he posted that Ozzy always employed the services of a bass player to write his lyrics.

Snider continued that he has exclusive information about what goes on behind the scenes, and Sharon, who is involved in his music business, does not like to share credit.

This confession from Snider infuriated Kelly, who took to social media on Friday, August 14, 2026, to defend Ozzy’s legacy as a musician, songwriter, singer, and bandleader, insisting that it spoke for itself.

She added that everyone who has purchased Ozzy’s records, his lifelong fans, his friends, and his family all know the value of his talent and what he contributed to the world of music, which will outlast him.

As shared by Us Weekly, Ozzy was not private about some of his songwriting collaborations with Geezer Butler of his boy band Black Sabbath and Bob Daisley during his solo career.

The actress went straight for Snider’s jugular with an opening comment on a more direct response shared on her Instagram Story that read, “@deesnider your last hit…not to age myself, was the year I was born over 40 years ago.”

She condemned Snider for cooking up his false story at a time he knows Ozzy will not be here to defend himself, especially as she was sure Snider’s sources were those with a delusional personal vendetta against the rock star.

Osbourne noted that she could not recall any encounter between her father and Snider happening more than once in the same room over the years.

Kelly continued that any attempt for Snider to compare her father with himself career-wise was a terrible idea that should never fly, because the timelines were too far apart. In Kelly’s words:

“Snider had a brief period of mainstream success more than 40 years ago. My father’s career spanned nearly six decades — from helping to define heavy metal with Black Sabbath to building an extraordinary solo career.”

The mother-of-one had a lot to get off her mind, including her dilemma on why Snider may be taking that route. Kelly’s greatest guess was that he was trying to make his music relevant again because the industry has left him behind for years now.

Kelly affirmed that unlike Snider, her father’s influence continued to survive years of fandom, while appealing to several generations. She declared that a Snider co-sign or verdict was the last thing her father needed to get a spot in music’s history.

The actress concluded her lengthy address with advice for Snider to desist from making her father smaller, with hopes that he will become bigger. She described that attempt as a way to remind everyone of the significant difference between their legacies, while further proving his irrelevance to the music industry and society.

Kelly sarcastically issued a thank you to Snider for finally revealing how desperate he can get to the world. Although Snider tried to diffuse the situation by showing his love to Ozzy in another post and explaining that credit and its royalties make him emotional, he seemed to have been blacklisted by Kelly for life.

Kelly and her siblings have had to correct some wrong narratives about the rockstar since he died, and one of the first instances of that was her attacking the WWE Network for one of their wrestlers’ utterances against her father.

As shared by The Blast, Becky Lynch had taken a swipe at Birmingham after she told Nikki Bella that Ozzy was the only good thing to emerge from there and he only made it when he moved to Los Angeles.

Kelly was not having it with Lynch and the WWE network as she took to her Instagram story last year to chastise Lynch for being so disrespectful to the city Ozzy loved so much. She condemned the network for ever making it acceptable for Lynch to speak ill of her father and his beloved hometown.

Speaking of Birmingham, Ozzy had thrown his final live performance alongside his Black Sabbath group in the city on July 5, 2025. The historic 10-hour farewell concert also featured a solo mini-set and a final reunion with the band just 17 days before he passed on.

Kelly and her father’s connection was undeniable during his lifetime and even after his death. As noted by The Blast, the E! Personality took to Instagram on Father’s Day to reminisce about times spent with her father from toddler to adulthood.

Keeping these memories in picture slides, Kelly confessed that sometimes, she still finds herself looking for a semblance of him in the ordinary, everyday moments. She penned an emotional post that losing the singer has not been easy on her heart, as she feels the ache each passing day.

Kelly continued that she was honored to have been a part of his life and legacy while reassuring him that they will meet again in the near future. The media personality has been very public with her grief about losing her father, whom she so much adored.

Ozzy Osbourne will surely be proud of Kelly Osbourne for being so protective of his memory and legacy!
