The Kebbi State Hisbah Board has announced the discovery of an abandoned baby girl in the state, calling on members of the public with information about her parents or relatives to come forward.
According to a statement issued by the Board on Sunday, 30th August 2026, the baby was found on Friday night at about 11:00 PM.
The statement said the child is in good health and is currently under the care of the Hisbah Board.
“We are calling on anyone who knows the baby’s parents or relatives, or who has any credible information about her, to come to the Hisbah Board so that the relationship can be verified and the baby can be returned to her family in accordance with the law,” the statement read.
The Board prayed that Allah protects the baby and reunites her with her parents safely.
Efforts are ongoing to identify the parents or guardians of the infant.
