Kanye ‘Ye’ West is reportedly cutting ties with his former right-hand man Milo Yiannopoulos.
This comes after Yiannopoulos was deported from the United States. The rapper is said to have become increasingly distrustful of his former associate.
Milo Yiannopoulos previously held a powerful position within Kanye ‘Ye’ West’s orbit as his chief of staff. He also worked on Ye’s 2024 presidential campaign and sometimes handled press requests.
The “Vulture 1” rapper is reportedly cutting ties with Yiannopoulos following his deportation. A source said that the rapper “does not want to be involved with Milo anymore.” The source also claimed Ye asked Yiannopoulos to move out of one of his properties.
The reported fallout came as Ye prepared for a concert at Caesars Superdome. According to the source, the rapper had “no idea why Milo was coming to the concert.” The insider further claimed that Yiannopoulos had not been trusted within Ye’s orbit for a long time.
The source also alleged that Ye had been warned about Yiannopoulos repeatedly. Yiannopoulos reportedly told people around the rapper that he had a visa and was becoming a U.S. citizen. The revelation that he apparently did not have a visa reportedly shocked people in Ye’s circle.
Yiannopoulos had also described himself as Ye’s publicist, but that title reportedly was never formally assigned to him. The Daily Mail revealed that Ye does not have one single public relations team. The source claimed Yiannopoulos gave himself the publicist title while Ye generally speaks himself or authorizes others to speak.
The Immigration Claims Raised Bigger Questions
5Yiannopoulos’ immigration history has now become central to the controversy surrounding his deportation. He previously claimed to be in the United States on an O-1 nonimmigrant visa. That visa is intended for people with extraordinary ability in areas including the arts, business, education, or athletics.
The publication also detailed Yiannopoulos’ earlier rise as an editor at Breitbart. He became known for controversial views and later resigned from the outlet in 2017. His departure followed videos that appeared to show him condoning statutory rape and sexual relationships between boys and men, claims he attributed to deceptive editing and sloppy phrasing.
That same year, Yiannopoulos married his longtime boyfriend at the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai in Hawaii. He kept his spouse, identified only as John, away from public attention. By 2021, Yiannopoulos said he was no longer homosexual and described his husband as a “housemate.”
It remains unclear whether Yiannopoulos was actually married or held an O-1 visa. ICE said he had overstayed in violation of U.S. immigration laws. The Blast reported that the agency said he received a final removal order on July 22 after failing to attend his immigration hearing, and he has since returned to the United Kingdom.
Why Milo Yiannopoulos Left The Rapper’s Orbit
5Yiannopoulos previously served as Ye’s chief of staff and worked as director of political operations during the rapper’s 2024 presidential campaign. Yiannopoulos had worked closely with Ye for about two years. Their relationship suffered a major break in 2024 when Yiannopoulos resigned from Yeezy.
He left because of Ye’s plans to enter the adult entertainment industry. Yiannopoulos said he could not participate in producing or distributing adult content material for moral and religious reasons.
In his resignation, Yiannopoulos also raised concerns about Ye’s new team. He advised the rapper to “proceed with caution” and said the planned venture posed an unacceptable risk to his spiritual and physical health.
He nevertheless left open the possibility of returning if Ye permanently abandoned the adult film plans. The departure came during a broader period of executive exits at Yeezy.
The Blast also noted that the American Rapper had previously spoken publicly about struggling with p-rnography addiction and said it had destroyed his family.
Ye Discussed His Addiction
5Ye discussed his struggles during a 2019 interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music’s Beats 1 Radio. He revealed that his addiction began when he found a Playboy magazine at just five years old. “For me, Playboy was my gateway into full-on p-rnography addiction,” Ye said.
The “Gold Digger” rapper also described p-rnography as something he had spent years trying to overcome. He said the habit had affected almost every choice he made throughout his life. “From age five til now, having to kick the habit,” he explained, while arguing against the normalization of p-rnography.
In a 2022 Instagram post, he claimed that p-rnography had “destroyed” his family. He also expressed concern about its influence on his children, North and Chicago. He also described Hollywood as “a giant brothel.” The rapper argued that he did not want the addiction’s influence to reach his daughters.
Kanye West’s Former Employee Challenges His Mental State Defense
5Ye’s legal battle with former Donda Academy employee Benjamin Provo is heading toward another major courtroom dispute. Provo is asking the court to prevent Ye from relying on an “unsound mind” argument before a jury.
Provo’s attorneys say Ye failed to produce evidence supporting the claim during discovery. They reportedly point to the absence of medical records or other evidence establishing that he was of unsound mind. No ruling has been made on the request.
When the rapper was asked whether he felt “not yourself” during the period involved in the lawsuit, Ye reportedly answered, “No. I think that was close to me being myself.”
He also reportedly said, “Sometimes I intend to do good and still end up in deposition.” The rapper’s attorneys also want a large collection of his controversial social media posts excluded from the trial. They reportedly argue that the posts could unfairly prejudice the jury. The case is currently expected to head toward trial in October.
Bianca Censori and Yiannopoulos are listed among the potential witnesses and could be called in connection with the case. Ye himself is reportedly among the potential witnesses identified for the case, as shared by The Blast.
Kanye ‘Ye’ West’s reported decision to walk away from Milo Yiannopoulos leaves their complicated relationship under a brighter spotlight.
