In a post made on X, the former vice president said, during the visit, he had quality discussions on the progress of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) with Kwankwaso.

He also said that they agreed to work together to ensure good governance for Nigerians.

Atiku wrote, “I paid a courtesy visit to the residence of my brother and partner, His Excellency Rabiu Kwankwaso, this afternoon.

“We had quality discussions on the progress of our party, the ADC, and how we must continue the work to ensure good governance and recovery are achieved in good time for the people,” Atiku said.

Recall that Kwankwaso, a former leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) had dumped his party ahead of the forthcoming 2027 general election.

Kwankwaso dumped the NNPP alongside thousands of his supporters in the Kwankwasiyya movement to join the ADC.

His move to the party followed a historic meeting between Kwankwaso, the 2023 presidential candidate for the Labour Party, Peter Obi; Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and other key political heavyweights within the ADC.
