Jerry Eze, Senior Pastor of Streams of Joy International, has received a massive birthday gift: a mansion from billionaire businessman Obinna Iyiegbu, also known as Obi Cubana.
The billionaire, via his social media on Saturday, shared a video of the present, saying the house would be ready by December.
“Today, I present you this house that will be ready by December as an appreciation for all you do! May it help in the advancement of God’s work and service to mankind, amen!” Obi Cubana wrote.
He thanked Eze for his work and prayers for others, adding, “You have been the one doing for us all always, but today is for you!”
He further thanked the Abia-born pastor for his prayers over his life, describing the clergyman as his brother and wishing him a happy birthday.
In the video accompanying the post, Obi Cubana said he had made a silent prayer in January that he would be able to complete and gift Eze a house by his next birthday.
He said the property was still being worked on but would be completed soon.
“So today I’ve chosen to celebrate one of my most amazing brothers, the man of God, my friend, Pastor Jerry Uchechukwu Eze. So I celebrate you today because you have always been there for us,” he said.
Obi Cubana said he gave the gift to Eze in recognition of his work and service to others.
The gesture sparked reactions on social media. Some people praised Obi Cubana, while others wondered why he gave the gift to another wealthy person instead of someone in need.
Jerry Eze is known for leading the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD), an online prayer program from his ministry.
Cubana and Eze have talked about their friendship before, and the businessman has also supported the pastor’s ministry.
