JAMB releases 2026 UTME mock exam results, delists 20 CBT centres

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of the 2026 mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s spokesperson, said the board also delisted 20 computer-based (CBT) centres over “technical inaccuracies” that affected the examination in parts of the country.

Several candidates scheduled to sit for the examination were left stranded on Saturday, March 27, after technical issues disrupted the exercise in some locations.

Reports indicate that at many centres, the exam did not begin until several hours after candidates had arrived, triggering widespread concern, frustration, and backlash among Nigerians, especially on social media.

The JAMB spokesperson said the mock UTME results are now available on the board’s portal, adding that candidates can also access them via SMS.

“Candidates can check their results by sending MOCKRESULT via SMS to 55019 or 66019, using the same phone number (SIM) used during registration for the 2026 UTME,” Benjamin said.

According to him, 224,597 candidates registered for the mock examination, out of which 152,586 actually sat for the test.

He said the exercise was conducted across 989 CBT centres nationwide.

He also warned candidates to be cautious of fraudulent individuals or groups, particularly on WhatsApp, claiming they can help boost scores.

“Such claims are false and criminal,” he said.

“Any candidate found to have engaged in such activities will have their registration cancelled.”

Benjamin added that where such infractions are discovered after the examination, results may be withheld or withdrawn.

“Candidates should note that the main UTME is scheduled to commence on Thursday, 16th April 2026,” he added.
