Reflecting on her life in 2017, Ashmusy revealed that she had to beg people for financial assistance just to pay her house rent and settle her bills.

She said she begged a lot during that period and recently became emotional while reflecting on how far she has come.
Ashmusy also said that she sometimes gets so caught up in her busy lifestyle and pursuit of a better life that she forgets where she started from.
