The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Bernard M. Doro, has reiterated the Federal Government’s commitment to strengthening partnerships aimed at improving the welfare of vulnerable Nigerians.
The minister stated this while receiving a delegation from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs led by Danielle Parry during a meeting held at the ministry’s conference room in Abuja.
Doro said both the ministry and UNOCHA shared a common objective of supporting vulnerable citizens and tackling poverty-related challenges across the country.
He appreciated the United Nations for its sustained partnership with Nigeria in the humanitarian sector, stressing that his guiding philosophy remained “Make a Difference.”
According to the minister, the meeting was a follow-up engagement aimed at strengthening mutual understanding ahead of the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding expected to enhance collaboration between both parties.
The proposed partnership, he noted, would further support efforts targeted at assisting vulnerable populations across Nigeria.
