By Chimezie Godfrey

‎The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Bernard M. Doro, has reiterated the Federal Government’s commitment to strengthening partnerships aimed at improving the welfare of vulnerable Nigerians.

‎The minister stated this while receiving a delegation from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs led by Danielle Parry during a meeting held at the ministry’s conference room in Abuja.

‎Doro said both the ministry and UNOCHA shared a common objective of supporting vulnerable citizens and tackling poverty-related challenges across the country.

‎He appreciated the United Nations for its sustained partnership with Nigeria in the humanitarian sector, stressing that his guiding philosophy remained “Make a Difference.”

‎According to the minister, the meeting was a follow-up engagement aimed at strengthening mutual understanding ahead of the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding expected to enhance collaboration between both parties.

‎The proposed partnership, he noted, would further support efforts targeted at assisting vulnerable populations across Nigeria.
