How to apply for Nigeria Police recruitment 2025/2026

The Police Service Commission (PSC), in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has officially opened the recruitment portal for applicants interested in joining the Force as Police Constables or Specialist personnel.

This recruitment exercise follows President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive for the enlistment of 50,000 new police officers to strengthen internal security, expand community policing, and boost manpower to combat rising crime across the country.

The application portal will be open from December 15, 2025, to January 25, 2026.

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to apply:

Step 1: Check Your Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be Nigerian citizens by birth

  • Be physically, mentally and medically fit

  • Be free from financial embarrassment

  • Possess good character with no criminal record

  • Not be pregnant (for female applicants)

  • Minimum of four credits, including English and Mathematics

  • At least three years’ relevant work experience

  • Relevant Trade Test Certificates
