Governor Zulum dissolves Borno executive council

Babagana Zulum, governor of Borno state has approved the immediate dissolution of the state executive council.

This is in a move aimed at enabling cabinet members to participate in the forthcoming general elections.

The decision was disclosed in a statement issued by Bukar Tijani, the secretary to the state government who said the action was part of efforts to create an enabling environment for political engagement.

According to the directive, all commissioners have been instructed to hand over the affairs of their respective ministries to permanent secretaries on or before April 3, 2026.

Governor Zulum expressed appreciation to the outgoing commissioners for their service, commending their dedication and contributions to the development of Borno State.
