The leadership of the G4 Movement for Coronation has paid a courtesy and familiarisation visit to the Commissioner representing Southern Ijaw Local Government Area on the Bayelsa State Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Cleopas Carter.
The visit was aimed at formally introducing the movement to the Commissioner, while outlining its vision, objectives and commitment to the candidature of Hon. Coronation Tokpo for the State House of Assembly.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the spokesman of the movement, Chief Lawrence Akpama, expressed appreciation to Hon. Carter for receiving the group and introduced the leadership of the G4 Movement.
Those introduced included the Leader, Snr. Comr. Ebiskele Oruh; Coordinator, Snr. Comr. Palanto Bayefa, who was unavoidably absent; BOT Chairman, High Chief D. Bofa Otobo; Secretary, Comr. Okoto Keme Bruce; and other members of the movement.
Chief Akpama appealed to Hon. Carter to identify with the G4 Movement and provide the necessary support to enable it achieve its objectives. He explained that while the movement was established primarily to support Hon. Coronation Tokpo, its members remain loyal party supporters committed to the success of all APC candidates, from the presidential level down to the House of Representatives.
Responding, Hon. Cleopas Carter said the personalities behind the G4 Movement were not new to him and commended the leadership and members for their efforts.
He also reaffirmed his commitment to the party, stating that as a loyal party member, he respects the directives and leadership of the party under His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri.
Hon. Carter subsequently encouraged the people of Ogboin Clan to support the candidature of Hon. Coronation Tokpo, while assuring the G4 Movement of his support.
The Commissioner stressed that his support would not be limited to words, but would also be demonstrated through concrete actions.
In a vote of thanks, Chief Lawrence Akpama expressed gratitude to Hon. Carter for the warm reception, encouragement and support extended to the movement.
The meeting ended with a group photograph involving the G4 leadership, members and the Honourable Commissioner, marking what the movement described as a successful courtesy and familiarisation visit.
The G4 Movement reiterated its commitment to mobilising support for Hon. Coronation Tokpo and promoting the success of the party and its candidates.
