“Foolish people” – Sowore blasts Akpabio over promise to deliver Akwa Ibom votes to Tinubu

Activist Omoyele Sowore has criticised Senate President Godswill Akpabio over his pledge to deliver votes in Akwa Ibom State for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election.

In a post on social media, Sowore accused Akpabio of benefiting from electoral manipulation in previous elections.

“Godswill Akpabio is promising Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu votes from Akwa Ibom when in 2019 he had to pad votes to claim victory himself,” he wrote.

Sowore alleged that the manipulation was so obvious that a professor accused of altering election results was later jailed.

“The rigging were so brazen that even the professor accused of manipulating results for him ended up in jail,” he said.

The activist also claimed that Akpabio failed to secure victory during the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries ahead of the 2023 election until a court ruling paved the way for his candidacy.

“By 2023, Akpabio could not even secure victory at his party primaries until a compromised court decision helped insert him as a candidate,” Sowore alleged.

He ended the post with the remark: “Foolish people! #AACOurParty”
