Beneficiaries receiving ₦25,000 credit alerts under the Federal Government’s Household Prosperity and Empowerment (HoPE) Cash Transfer programme have received an update reportedly from an M&E officer.
The message says the alerts are from the National Cash Transfer Office (NCTO) and are not a scam. However, beneficiaries should verify payment notices through official NCTO channels.
According to the message, Fortis Microfinance Bank beneficiaries should wait for payment service providers (PSPs) to arrive. It also says some Tag Pay cards are not ready, and beneficiaries will be informed when available.
The message advises local officials to compile names of beneficiaries whose payments have been completed in their local government areas (LGAs) and notify the payment officer.
It further states that some households have already received the full ₦75,000, representing three monthly payments of ₦25,000.
How to withdraw payment
Beneficiaries should follow instructions from the bank or payment provider named in their SMS and wait for their card or payment service provider where required. Contact NCTO through official channels for confirmation. Do not pay anyone to access the funds.
