Eid-el-Kabir: NEMA DG Urges Compassion, Support For Vulnerable Nigerians‎

‎The Director-General of the National Emergency Management Agency, Zubaida Umar, has urged Nigerians, particularly Muslim faithful, to embrace compassion, sacrifice and support for vulnerable persons as they celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.

‎In her Eid message on behalf of the agency, Umar said the values of sacrifice, selflessness and compassion associated with the festival align with the humanitarian mandate of the agency.

‎She noted that the spirit of Eid-el-Kabir should inspire Nigerians to support one another and extend care to vulnerable members of society.

‎“The festival’s call to sacrifice, compassion and selflessness mirrors our mandate to save lives, reduce suffering and support communities in times of need,” she stated.

‎The NEMA boss also prayed for peace, safety and prosperity across the country.

‎“May Allah accept our sacrifices and continue to bless our nation with peace, safety and prosperity,” she added.

‎She further wished Muslim faithful a peaceful and joyous Eid celebration.
