Lt.-Col. Bello Musa, the Chief Imam of 82 Division, Nigerian Army, has urged Muslim faithful to sustain the virtues and lessons imbibed during the holy month of Ramadan.
Musa made the call after Eid prayers held at the Eid Prayer Ground, Abakpa Military Cantonment, Enugu, on Friday.
He said it was imperative for adherents to continue to reflect in their daily lives the moral teachings, discipline and relationships cultivated during Ramadan.
According to him, the Muslim Ummah should remain steadfast in almsgiving, acts of charity, love and kindness towards others.
“We should not relent in observing our daily prayers faithfully and showing due respect to constituted authorities.
“For Muslim families, I want them to sustain the love and unity fostered during Ramadan.
“For Muslim families, the spirit of togetherness and bonding experienced during Ramadan should be maintained beyond the fasting period.
“The head of the family should continue to bring members together, as the foundation of a better society begins with a united and loving family,” he said.
Musa prayed for Allah’s protection over troops engaged in various operations across the country.
He also prayed for divine health and wisdom for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Bola Tinubu.
The Chief Imam further offered prayers for the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Olufemi Oloyede; the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Shuaibu Waidi; and the General Officer Commanding 82 Division, Maj.-Gen. Oluremi Fadairo. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
